When will my credit score update in the Petal app?

We pull your credit score from Experian every month. You can see exactly when your credit score was last updated in the Petal app—if you go to your Accounts tab, the grey date in the “credit score” module indicates the last time your credit score was updated.

If it’s been a few months since the date has changed, reach out to support@petalcard.com and we’ll take a look.

 

Why can't I see my credit score in the app?

There are a few reasons you may not see your credit score in the Petal app:

  1. You may not have a credit score yet. If you’re new-to-credit, you may not see your score in the Petal app because you don’t have one yet! To get a credit score, you’ll need to have a credit history. Use your Petal card responsibly and watch your credit score bloom!
  2. We’re having issues reading your report. Occasionally, we run into issues retrieving information from your credit report—don’t worry, it doesn’t mean your credit report is wrong, it just means we’re having some trouble connecting. You can also check your credit report here for peace of mind.

 

How often can I check my credit score in the Petal app?

Viewing your score in your Petal account is free and won’t impact your credit, so you can check it as many times as you’d like!
