What are mobile payments, and how do they work with my Petal card?
Petal currently supports three forms of mobile payments: Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. These features let you ditch your physical credit card when making purchases in store or online at participating retailers. With Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, you don’t need to swipe your card or enter your card information—once your Petal card is added to either Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay on your supported device, you can check out with just a touch or a glance.
Do I still get cash back when I use my Petal card with mobile payments?
Yes, you receive all of the same rewards, security, and benefits of your physical Petal card if you use it with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay. These are just other ways to #PaywithPetal!
How do I add my Petal card to my Apple Wallet®?
To add your Petal card to Apple Pay, go to the Wallet® app on your iOS device, tap the button, and then follow the steps. You can download the Wallet app for free from the Apple app store, if you haven’t already.

Is using my Petal card with Apple Pay safe?
Yes. Apple Pay integrates advanced information security features designed to help keep your account information safe and make it difficult for unauthorized parties to access your information! For example, when you pay with your Petal card, Apple Pay doesn’t keep transaction information that can be tied back to you. Apple Pay also uses a Device Account Number and unique transaction code, so your card number is never stored on your device.
Plus, when you make purchases using your Petal card with Apple Pay, you get all the other security benefits you get with your physical Petal card!
If I receive a replacement physical Petal card, do I need to update my card information with Apple Pay?
No. Your Device Account Number is connected to your new card number automatically. Once you activate your new card, you can use it with Apple Pay.
How do I add my Petal card to Google Pay?
To add your Petal card to Google Pay, open the Google Pay app on your device and tap the Payment tab. Once there, tap the Add Payment Method button, and then follow the steps on the screen. You can download the Google Pay app from the Google Play or Apple App store if you haven’t already.

If I receive a replacement physical Petal card, do I need to update my card information with Google Pay?
No. Your virtual account number is connected to your new card number automatically. Once you activate your new card, you can use it with Google Pay.
How do I make my Petal card the default card in Google Pay?
To make your Petal card your default card, open your Google Pay app. Tap the the ‘Payment’ tab and tap your Petal card. Once there, turn on ‘Default for in-store purchase’ and your Petal card will be your default card on Google Pay.How do I add my Petal card to Samsung Pay?
To add your Petal card to Samsung Pay, open the Samsung Pay app on your device and tap the Menu button on the app’s top left corner. Next, tap the Cards button and then tap Add Card (look for the blue +card icon). Finally, tap the Add Credit/Debit Card button and follow the on-screen instructions.

Is using my Petal card with Samsung Pay safe?
Yes. When you use Samsung Pay, each transaction is authenticated by your fingerprint, pin number, or eye scan. Additionally, Samsung Pay uses tokenization technology to create a unique, randomized set of numbers to be used at each new transaction so your real card number is never used from your phone. Finally, Samsung Pay uses the Samsung Knox technology to keep your information safe, encrypting your card information in a separate and secure data vault at all times.

If I receive a physical replacement Petal card, do I need to update my card information with Samsung Pay?
Yes. If you receive a replacement Petal card, you will have to remove the original card from Samsung Pay and add the new card.
How do I make my Petal card the default card, or ‘Favorite Card’ in Samsung Pay?
Making your Petal card a Favorite Card within Samsung Pay will let you access your Petal card from your Samsung device’s lock or home screen, even when the screen is off.
To make your Petal card your Favorite Card within Samsung Pay, open your Samsung Pay app and then tap Menu. Go into Settings, tap Manage Favorite Cards, and select your Petal Card. When you’re done, just tap the Back arrow and your Petal card will be added to your Favorite Cards within Samsung Pay.
