Petal complies with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and all other applicable laws and regulations. The SCRA may limit the APR associated with certain accounts while military members are on active duty.
If you are called to active duty, and you already have an account with Petal, we’ll apply Servicemember’s Civil Relief Act interest rate coverage to your account and it’s current balance. To confirm your eligibility for SCRA benefits, please complete one of the following actions:
- Send us a request for SCRA benefits by emailing us at support@petalcard.com with the subject line “SCRA Benefits”. In the email, simply state that you’re on active duty and that you would like to confirm eligibility for SCRA benefits.
- Send us a copy of the active duty orders, a letter signed by the Servicemember’s commanding officer on the applicable organization’s letterhead with your active duty dates or any other appropriate indicators of military service such as a VA Benefits Award Letter, Military Disability Award Letter, DD Form 214 or 215 via email at support@petalcard.com or via mail to the following address:
Petal Card Inc.
MSC – 166931
P.O Box 105168
Atlanta, GA 30348-5168
Once we receive your email or paperwork, we’ll confirm your Petal account eligibility with the Department of Defense Manpower Data Center. We’ll then reduce the account APR to 6% on any outstanding balances and on your account for the duration of your active duty service. If you have Petal 1, the late payment fee and returned payment fee will be included in the 6% cap for SCRA coverage. You’ll also receive a letter in the mail to confirm your enrollment in SCRA benefits.
