There are many scoring models out there, including ones from FICO and other companies. Each one calculates your score a bit differently, which is why you may see a different score with one company than you do with Petal. Petal has partnered with Experian and is using the VantageScore 3.0 model to calculate your score. Even though different companies use different calculation models, they all use information from your credit report.
To request a copy of your Experian credit report, visit www.experian.com, or give them a call at 1-877-284-7942.
If your score seems off to you, we recommend checking your credit report directly with the bureaus, by visiting: http://www.annualcreditreport.com
